Sam Branson and Isabella Calthorpe: Inspired Safari Wedding

With the recent Branson wedding firmly on our list of favourite weddings, we would like to share with you the My Eden-take on a Safari themed wedding. And for those who prefer not to fly the entire wedding party to Africa, we have found some really fun and quirky alternatives here in the UK.

Invitations

Loving these Simple invitations - All it takes is a colour scheme and an animal to get your theme across.

Loving the stamp on these envelopes

Consider a different paper option. The forest paper sets off the theme.

This fold out invitation is genius. We love the bold orange and brown colour scheme as well as the fold out map.

Table Arrangements

This place setting is stunning, with the bold stripes and golden sunset safari napkins.

Minimal place setting with a splash of colour. Perfect

Animal print table cloth and a touch of decoration.

Stunning menu place card with an animal touch.

Reception

Stunning evening reception over sunset.

Consider a beautiful buffet full of african food choices to get the party heated up.

Table decorations using animal statues and print.

Animal status, all you need is another giraffe and you have stunning cake toppers.

Going for an minimalistic approach. Add a touch of animal print for decoration such as these chair additives.

Cakes

Traditional safari colours and a savannah print. Delicious.

This cake is amazing. Looking to use a leopard theme.. well heres how you do it.

Mixture of animal prints with a touch of animal statues seems the way to top it all off.

Check out these amazing cupcake ideas.

Flowers

This colour scheme is beautiful. We also love this african style necklace.

Dark browns and cream = traditional.

Sunset colour scheme of oranges and reds.

Pop Wedding and Seremonia

My Eden's atelier is based in South Wimbledon and this is where the dresses are skecthed, designed and made. However, because the designer and the woman behind it all, Catharina Eden, is half Finnish, some pieces are sold in wedding boutiques in the capital area of Finland.

One stockist is boutique Pop Wedding, based in a town called Järvenpää, where you can find a small collection from the "transformable" range. The transformable range is based around the idea that you can alter the dress from long to short, and have up to 3 variations in one dress. For example, you can have a full-lenght skirt and a train for the wedding ceremony, then remove the train for the first dance and swap the skirt for a shorter one for the party! At Pop Wedding they have 5 pieces from this range; a short and a long chiffon skirt and three different corset tops that can all be mixed and matched to the brides liking.

My Eden's Wish and Fantasy-dresses are available in a another boutique called Seremonia (ceremony in Finnish!) which is located in the capital Helsinki. Both dresses got a great amount of attention at the National Wedding Show 2013, and were described as "simple elegance and glamour".
